Inquiry form update

We are excited to share with you our first updates to the MadScrubber data processing logic and the BigCommerce theme for 2021.

New Web Enabled Option

XO Logic now sends Madwire data letting the MadScrubber know if a vendor is Web Enabled in XO Logic or not. Marking a vendor as non Web Enabled in XO Logic means the product will display on the front end of BigCommerce, but will not be purchasable.

Products missing images are now loaded to BigCommerce

In the past, if an item was missing an image, it was a hard failure and not loaded to BigCommerce. These products that are missing images are now being loaded to BigCommerce and tagged with a sort order of 500, so they will show up at the end of listings. This way your front pages of search and categories will not have items missing images.

Vendor Rankings

Vendor ranking in BigCommerce now matches the vendor ranking in XO Logic. XO sends a file with your vendor rankings daily. Changes to your sort are processed via the MadScrubber. Please allow up to 24hrs for changes to be reflected on the BigCommerce site.

Note: Making changes to multiple vendors at once will slow down the update process due to the volume of products being updated.

Updated Availability Display In BigCommerce For Items That May Be Out Of Stock At Manufacturer

Out of Stock Items

If a product is reported as out of stock locally (in the showroom) and under 10 at the vendor, the product can no longer be purchased. This is to minimize refunds on backordered/discontinued items.

Items that report no value in the feed file (Null Values)

If a product is reported as out of stock locally (in the showroom) and the vendor does not provide any stock information, the product remains purchasable but with a note that says “Manufacturer may be out of stock”

Enhancement: Product Inquiry Pop-Up Form

We have a solution for allowing an online customer to request more information on a product. This form includes a notification to an email address of choice, with a direct link to the product in question.

What Are We Working On Next?

Giving the MadScrubber the ability to load products without valid categorization into an “Uncategorized” category, so products can still be found via search.
